1945: After the end of the war, everything has been destroyed. Rudolf Baumann begins anew. The reconstruction of old trucks into tipper trucks enables the company’s successful entry into the bulk goods transportation market. During the post-war period of German economic recovery, Rudolf Baumann becomes a reliable partner to many well-respected industrial enterprises. |

From the post-war period to the 1970s: first international shipments
1946: Following Rudolf Baumann’s passing away, the family business becomes Rudolf Baumann Spedition GmbH & Co. KG. His son, Werner Baumann, continues the business in the second generation with great commitment. The long-distance road haulage business in Germany, regulated by trade licences, becomes increasingly important for the company.
1964: Aided by the impact of Germany’s “economic miracle”, the company continues to grow. 40 tipper trucks now make up the company fleet. The company’s business premises in the centre of Bonn are no longer big enough. The company moves to municipal premises in Karlstraße. The company is a classic freight forwarding company, doing business in its own name with its own trucks.
1965: The mid-1960s sees the company make its first shipments to neighbouring foreign countries. The company becomes an international road haulage operator. Its customer base continues to grow steadily.
